Call for young people from Latvia. Youth Exchange "Critical Thinking Youth FORCE".

Where: Riga, Latvia

Info about the project: The main AIM of the project is to gather young people from 6 countries who will work together to expand the international movement Skepsis (https://www.facebook.com/skepsismovement/) devoted to developing critical thinking and media literacy skills among young people and to develop ideas for future activities and projects in terms of this movement.

The intention is not only to make one project, but create a whole set of activities, which can be implemented in order to solve problem of fakes and desinformation. As the visible result of the YE we will create a comics book which can help with dealing fakes and disinformation. It will be translated it in all participant languages during YE,and spread around EU after YE.

Objectives:

☑️ To increase understanding of how media and social networks affect our perception

☑️ To increase media literacy among the participants

☑️ To develop skills of critical thinking among participants

☑️ To create the possible activities for the Skepsis movement devoted to the critical thinking and media literacy

☑️ To find common ground and innovative ideas for future partnership working using the skills and knowledge of people from diverse backgrounds

☑️ To develop future projects on the topic

☑️ To raise participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries

☑️ To create a comics book

Participant’s profile: - Aged 17-30 - At least intermediate level of English - Motivation and willingness to take active part in the Youth Exchange Accommodation and food will be fully covered by the Erasmus+ programe.
