🏳️‍🌈 Looking for a meaningful long-term volunteering experience where you can work with LGBTIQ+ youth, support community initiatives, and gain hands-on experience in an LGBTQI+ organisation?

Join Ljubljana Pride Association as an LGBTIQ+ Volunteering Ambassador and become part of a team working on volunteering, events, workshops, community activities, and the Ljubljana Pride Festival 2027.

✨ What you'll do:

🏳️‍🌈 Support the implementation of the LGBTIQ+ volunteering programme
👥 Help coordinate the ESC volunteer team, including schedules, tasks, group dynamics and logistics
🎉 Support the organisation and implementation of Ljubljana Pride Festival 2027
📣 Promote volunteering opportunities and support outreach activities
🗂️ Contribute to day-to-day office work, correspondence and administration
🧑‍🏫 Support workshops and other community activities
🤝 Take on additional supporting tasks together with the work coordinator


🧭 This opportunity is for you if you:

✔ Are 18–30 years old
✔ Are an LGBTIQ+ young person and/or a young person facing intersectional discrimination
✔ Are a resident of an EU country
✔ Have a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organisations, topics and politics
✔ Have previous work or volunteering experience in organising LGBTIQ+ events
✔ Are responsible, proactive and able to take initiative
✔ Feel comfortable working in an office environment and coordinating a small group of people
✔ Are available to occasionally work evenings and weekends
✔ Are communicative, outgoing and enthusiastic about working with LGBTIQ+ youth and peers
✔ Can communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing

Ljubljana Pride Association is a Slovenian LGBTIQ+ organisation working to create a more inclusive society and empower LGBTIQ+ people and young people. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to community-based activities while developing your organisational, communication and teamwork skills.

Active Rainbow

We are an educational platform and community of people that celebrate personal growth and inclusivity. Our platform is open, accessible, and welcomes everyone who is interested in non-formal learning, mobility opportunities, and contributing their verse to society.

Active Rainbow was founded in 2014 and started at first as a self-organized initiative. Since 2020, it is an organization in Latvia. 

Our team is active in the field of youth work and in the implementation of learning programs for the past 11 years, working on a local, national, European and international level. We have established and leading a sustainable network of organizations, collectives and informal groups working with LGBTQIA+/Queer Education, and sharing mutual values for increasing the quality of inclusive, intersectional, accessible and safe youth work.

[Our Mission] We are committed to strengthen the implementation of Human Rights and improve the quality of LGBT+ spectrum education, by offering learning opportunities for people to grow and thrive.

  • Support (young) people in their personal and professional development - equipping them with lifelong skills
  • Offer safe and inclusive educational environments for everyone without discrimination, especially to LGBTQIA+ people
  • Promote and participate in the development of youth work and the training of youth workers and educators
  • Promote the initiatives of young people
  • Increase the visibility of non-formal learning as a type of activism
  • Offer and foster volunteering opportunities, building young activists and social changemakers
  • Develop and sustain an engaged and connected network of organizations, fostering international cooperation and cross-cultural exchange
  • Create a more inclusive and cohesive society to ensure equal opportunities for all to achieve full potential in life
