🏳️🌈🏳️⚧ Pride Begins our 4th edition of our annual volunteering teams project - will welcome 12 volunteers from European countries, who will join our team for a month and contribute to our activities and events within this year's Riga Pride Festival.
Those events are created by queer people for queer community, allies, and the general public.
📆 20.05 - 17.06.2026 (including travel days)
📌 Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻
🎯 Briefly, get ready:
▪ Engage with the local LGBTQIA+/queer community and allies in action, and learn about the LGBTQIA+ human rights in Latvia, while exchanging stories and experiences from your life and countries.
▪ Support and contribute to the activities of Active Rainbow connected to Riga Pride. It includes different tasks from social media to hands-on logistical support, to the organization of our "Queer Museum" 2026 edition.
▪ Create audio-visual content throughout the project, though photography, video and audio mediums, to promote the project, and the festival activities.
▪ Leave your own mark within the local community and Active Rainbow. You have the chance to meet other local queer artists, activists, and get inspired.
▪ Experience community building, connect with the other queer participants as peers, allies, and co-creators of a supportive, caring and loving learning environment.

We are an educational platform and community of people that celebrate personal growth and inclusivity. Our platform is open, accessible, and welcomes everyone who is interested in non-formal learning, mobility opportunities, and contributing their verse to society.
Active Rainbow was founded in 2014 and started at first as a self-organized initiative. Since 2020, it is an organization in Latvia.
Our team is active in the field of youth work and in the implementation of learning programs for the past 11 years, working on a local, national, European and international level. We have established and leading a sustainable network of organizations, collectives and informal groups working with LGBTQIA+/Queer Education, and sharing mutual values for increasing the quality of inclusive, intersectional, accessible and safe youth work.
[Our Vision] We contribute to the creation of a world where diversity is welcomed and celebrated as a value.
[Our Mission] We are committed to strengthen the implementation of Human Rights and improve the quality of LGBT+ spectrum education, by offering learning opportunities for people to grow and thrive.
Our motto is - learning made simple, yet significant.
