    1. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter - Policy) applies to the data processing conducted by SIA "Visas Iespējas", reg. No. 41203062733 (hereinafter referred to as "Visasiespējas").
    2. It is important for us to ensure an adequate protection of Personal data based on the principles set out in the General Data Protection Regulation No 679/2016 (GDPR), including transparency, lawfulness and fairness.
    3. This policy also applies to data processing carried out on the pages darbe.lv and darbnesis.lv, which are managed by Visasiespējas.

    8. The Platform includes Visasiespejas.lv, darbe.lv and darbnesis.lv.
    9. Profiling is the automated processing of Personal data for the purpose of assessing personal aspects.
    10. Automated decision-making is decision-making without human intervention that may have legal consequences for the data subject.

Visasiespējas collects your Personal data:

  1. when you use or enter information on any of the websites operated by Visasiespējas;
  2. when using the services of Visasiespējas;
  3. from third parties (e.g. if an employer provides information about the candidate);
  4. if you contact us for customer service purposes (for example, if you encounter a technical problem);
  5. if you apply to be a participant in events organised by us;
  6. if you attend events organised by Visasiespējas;
  7. for authentication purposes (e.g. to confirm a user account);
  8. corporate communication (e.g. obtaining contact details).
  9. Legal basis for processing Personal data

Visasiespējas shall process Personal data only for specified and legitimate purposes and only if necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose. The legal grounds for processing Personal data are:

  1. Conclusion and performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): we process your Personal data in order to conclude and perform contracts with you, for example by providing services to you.
  2. Data subject consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): In some cases, we may ask for your consent to process Personal data, for example to send you newsletters and offers.
  3. Compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR): we process your Personal data to comply with laws and regulations applicable to us, such as accounting and tax laws.

    1. The Jobseeker's CV and related Personal data are published on the Platform and are accessible to employers in accordance with the Jobseeker's chosen level of data disclosure.
    2. Personal data can be transferred to authorised third parties (IT service providers, legal advisors, etc.).
    3. Personal data can be transferred to public authorities, if legally justified.
  6. Information storage period and protection
    1. We keep your Personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of processing or as long as required by law.
    2. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of your Personal data, including protection against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
  7. Rights of data subjects

You have the following rights in relation to your Personal data:

  1. Right of access: you have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we are processing your Personal data and, if so, to have access to that data and to obtain information about the processing.
  2. Right to rectification: if your Personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to have it rectified.
  3. Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): You have the right to request the erasure of your Personal data if they are no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing, you withdraw your consent to the processing, you object to the processing or the processing is unlawful.
  4. Right to restrict processing: you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your Personal data if you contest the accuracy of the data or if the processing is unlawful.
  5. Right to data portability: you have the right to receive your Personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer it to another data controller.
  6. Right to object to processing: you have the right to object to the processing of your Personal data if it is based on our legitimate interests.
