The German-Baltic Future Foundation announces its 2025 essay competition!

This year’s topic is "Knowledge Protects: The Power of Education for Our Security."
We invite all interested individuals to express their thoughts and perspectives in essays written in German. The essays should not exceed 1,000 words.

The jury for the competition includes the Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian associations of German teachers, the German-Baltic Youth and Student Association (DBJW e.V.), and the European Latvian Youth Association.

Participants aged 15 to 24 from the Baltic region are invited to take part!

The submission deadline is March 16, 2025!
The top three essays will be announced at a gala evening at the end of April as part of the German Month in Riga.

Prizes? Yes, of course!

1st Prize: €200
2nd Prize: €150
3rd Prize: €100

Send your essays in Word format (12 pt, Times New Roman) to wettbewerb.dbjw@deutsch-balten.de.
Please include your first and last name, age, educational institution, city, and, if a teacher assisted in writing the essay, the teacher’s name and email address.

Die Deutsch-Baltische Zukunftsstiftung kündigt ihr Essaywettbewerb 2025 an!

Das Thema dieses Jahr ist “Wissen schützt: die Macht der Bildung für unsere Sicherheit“. Wir laden alle Interessenten ein, ihre Gedanken und Perspektiven in Essays auf Deutsch festzuhalten. Es soll nicht mehr als 1000 Wörter sein.

Zur Jury des Aufsatzwettbewerbs gehören die lettischen, litauischen und estnischen Deutschlehrerverbände, der Deutsch-Baltische Jugend- und Studentenring e.V. und der Europäische Lettische Jugendverband.
Teilnehmer von 15 bis 24 Jahren aus dem Baltikum sind eingeladen teilzunehmen!

Der Einsendefrist ist der 16. März 2025!
Die besten 3 Essays werden Ende April bei einem Gala-Abend im Rahmen des deutschen Monats in Riga bekanttgemacht.
